In the US, for 28 million workers, taking a sick day off is a privilege they can't afford to enjoy. Most are Latina or African American women who lose money if they don't show up to clock in. In 2020, Theraflu launched the Right to Recover Fund and donates between 1,000 to 1,500 days a year to people who don't have sick days off.
